FAQs

What is Personal Care?

Personal Care Services are services provided to help seniors and other individuals who need assistance with their activities of daily living. These activities consist of tasks such as bathing, dressing, mobility/moving around, eating, and using the toilet.

Where is care given?

Personal Care is provided at the individual’s residence.

How long does Personal Care last?

There is no set length of time for Personal Care Services. It can vary greatly based on a client’s unique needs and whether it is Physician prescribed or self-prescribed.

How do you pay for Personal Care Services?

This varies from situation to situation. Currently, we accept Private Pay and Medicaid (Medical Assistance) and/or Medicaid HMO (Molina Healthcare WI, MHS Health WI, My Choice Wisconsin, iCare Inc., and Lakeland Care Inc.).

Who comes to provide care?

Personal Care Workers (PCW) are caregivers under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) who will come provide care. We can match you with a PCW or if under Medicaid, an eligible family member or friend can get paid to provide care.

Why would someone want Personal Care Services?

Personal Care enables a person to live as independently as possible in the comfort of their home. It allows them to be closer to family and friends and stay in a familiar environment.
